Policy
Cancellation fees depend on the specific services Opus 2 has been instructed to provide for the hearing. A summary of the standard policy is set out below.

Trial Floating Window Policy
Opus 2 have experience working with floating trials and can guide the parties on the best approach to ensure our services are booked correctly. Our Business Development team will discuss this with you at the time of arranging our services however we've also set out our policy and guidance below.
Guidance
Where a hearing is subject to a floating trial window, it is recommended that Opus 2 services are booked for all potential sitting dates, including the full floating window. This guarantees the availability of the team once a start date has been decided upon.
Once services are booked, the assigned reporting team is reserved for the entire floating window period. As a result, the team is unable to accept other work during those dates.
If Opus 2 does not receive written confirmation of cancellation before 10:00am on the preceding business day, a sitting day cancellation fee will apply, in accordance with the agreed cost proposal.
This approach reflects standard industry practice, ensuring that a dedicated team remains available to support the hearing when required.
